The vast majority of people — both within the visible church and in the wider world — have a very poor understanding of the true meaning of Satanism, which has little to do with black magic, churches of Satan or ritual evil. The real Satanism is not what one sees in a horror movie. That is just a distraction away from the actual mass strategy of the forces of darkness, through which those fiendish fallen angels present themselves to the world as “angels of light” in order to deceive as many souls as possible and carry them off with them into eternal darkness. For the real Satanism, the effective Satanism — the Satanism which most people would probably not even recognise as Satanism — is about irresistible deception, chicanery, counterfeit, misrepresentation, mendacity, mesmerism, and imposture.

People (including many “Christians”) say that various entertainment, showbiz, or awards events (e.g. Grammy Awards), or ceremonies connected with sports events (e.g. Olympic Games opening ceremonies), etc. are satanic because they may use some symbolism which they associate with Satan, such as horns, goat-resemblance, black cowls, hand/finger symbols, pentagrams, a caduceus, upside-down cross, etc. There is a great deal of hysteria among professing ‘Christians’, so-called conservatives, ‘Truthers’ and some New Agers claiming that these are evidence of the practice of Satanism and full-blown satanic rituals. They are not. Not really. They are what Satan wants you to believe is the real Satanism. But they are merely an extremely stupid caricature of quasi-Satanism — a grotesquely theatrical parody of pseudo-Satanism carried out by godless, blasphemous, Christ-hating, debauched, depraved agents of darkness. But these acts and events cannot be said to be full-blown Satanism itself. Rather, they are a burlesque façade embellished with the trappings of what is associated with Satan in the popular mind. They are satanic in the sense that they represent the corrupt morals of an increasingly debauched society, but they cannot exclusively be described as the true Satanism. What do I mean by this?

Well, here is a major reality check for you… in the first place, Satan doesn’t have horns! I know it may come as a shock and it may be hard for some folks to accept that but this is the truth. Just because some fool wears some horns on his head at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles or on a cabaret stage in Las Vegas does not mean that he is engaging in an actual satanic ritual. Satan is spirit, like all angels, even though he is fallen, and not some kind of horned-god — though he and his fellow demons can manifest a form for whatever suits their purpose (alleged ETs and UFOs, Ascended Masters, spirit-guides, your dead granny in a séance, and channelled discarnate spirit-entities would be good examples of that). The horns are just a fantasy artistic representation of the idea of Satan — part of the Baphometic theatre to bewitch people with fear or idolatry, depending on their religious predilections.

The idea of Satan having horns originated in their association with the many various pagan ‘gods’ which have been depicted with horns. Obviously, the ‘god’, Pan, is the closest to the popular image of Satan with goat features. But what has contributed most to the depiction of Satan with horns is the portrayal of Baphomet (see the image attached to this excursus), originally associated with the Knights Templar in the fourteenth century and eventually with the nineteenth century occultist, Kabbalist, and self-styled ‘Magus’, Éliphas Lévi, who was a major influence on Aleister Crowley (who featured Baphomet in his Gnostic Mass and also wrote a “Hymn to Pan”) and the whole strain of Theosophy, beginning with Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. However, the rituals that Éliphas Lévi practised were very different to what all those silly pop stars do on a stage at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles or wherever, or what you typically witness at the opening ceremonies of so many events these days, when debauched artistic designers are given carte blanche and unlimited funds to stage their irreverently “queer” fantasies for a big audience.

Contrary to what those pretentious Hollywood stage-prancers do in public, Éliphas Lévi (via the editing of A.E. Waite) warned against the public presentation of rituals and practices. [“Mysteries of Magic – A Digest of the Writings of Éliphas Lévi”, Arthur Edward Waite, George Redway, 1886, p.25]. In fact, he warned that “nothing is more dangerous than to make magic a pastime, or a diversion at parties, as some make it” [ibid]. All the pseudo-Satanic nonsense you see at public entertainment events on Hollywood stages or, for example, in the opening ceremony of the Gotthard Base Tunnel in Switzerland (which was trendily referencing a number of local Swiss village myths and legends about the devil) is just the cavorting of dilettantes who are mere superficial dabblers on the fringes of a darkness which they do not even begin to comprehend.

There actually are terrible magical practices and rituals and curses in which one can engage, by which one invokes forces so dreadful that they put the practitioner at great risk. In fact, involvement in such things by dilettantes (as serious occultists themselves caution) can easily result in insanity and “they may over-excite the nervous system, producing terrible and incurable diseases” [ibid, p.24]. Add to this that they can eventually also drive a person to suicide, which has also happened a number of times through the ritual use of that demonic shamanistic brew, Ayahuasca, and you can see what a dark rabbit hole all this leads down. [As happened to a leading shaman in Peru, Malcolm Rossiter, who announced his suicide in November 2018 at the top of his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/MalcolmRossiter1  ].

The revered poet, Sylvia Plath, who killed herself at the age of thirty, was another classic example. She was introduced to the occult and dark magic rituals by her husband, UK poet-laureate Ted Hughes, and the two of them would regularly use an Ouija board to contact an entity which went by the name of the horned-god, “Pan”. [See the Guardian article, “How Black Magic Killed Sylvia Plath”, https://www.theguardian.com/theguardian/1999/sep/15/features11.g2 and the article “Sylvia Plath and the Occult”  https://www.cunning-folk.com/read-posts/sylvia-plath-and-the-occult ]. Plath was essentially a witch who practised other rituals as well, including one designed to destroy a woman with whom her husband had cheated on her. Dark magic rituals can easily destroy those performing them, even if they are adepts. Plath has served as a huge influence on feminists and feminist witches. [See, for example, this ‘priestess’ using “Encounters with the Dark Goddess”, https://amoretmortem.wordpress.com/2020/04/14/encounters-with-the-dark-goddess-artistic-and-ritual-reimagining-of-sylvia-plaths-poetry/  ]. One would have to be insane to dabble in such things, let alone seriously practise them because they attract forces with which one has not reckoned.

However, I am sharing all this filth to demonstrate that all that genuine ritual magick is a very long way from the alleged satanic rituals at public awards ceremonies in Hollywood, or elsewhere, which are just as fake as the “biopics” and “true stories” produced there as movies. It is all caricature, theatrics, parody. That is all they know about. But if it gets millions of professing “Christians”, so-called “Truthers” and New Agers — with their very narrow and even false understanding of Satanism — jumping up and down with diversionary shock-horror, complaining about it with loads of upper-case-sprinkled posts on social media, behaving like the old chestnut Times correspondent “outraged of Tunbridge Wells”, then that alone is worth its weight in gold for the forces of darkness. It is a perfect demonstration in how to turn what should be level-headed, spiritually-minded, beautifully evangelizing cosmic warriors for Christ into easily-shocked, terribly offended, carping campaigners obsessed with pointlessly pushing for the corruption-free kind of world which can never happen this side of the second coming of Christ.

I see so many hysterical “Christians” on social media getting offended and bent out of shape about these staged ceremonies. But this is so misplaced. Rather than hysterically getting het-up about entertainment which boasts the trappings of satanic imagery for its shock value and because those people, behaving like naughty children, love to flaunt evil in the face of God, the genuine disciple of Christ just watches all this with bemusement, knowing Who is really in control (the One who just “sits in the heavens and laughs” in mockery, Psalm 2:4), knowing that this is the kind of world in which s/he is living, knowing that this is a world in which the reality is that “evil people and impostors will go from bad to worse” (Second Letter to Timothy, chapter 3, verse 13), in which deception is the leading factor, and is the kind of world which Jesus clearly foretold is building up to being in the same state “as it was in the days of Noah” (Matthew 24:37), which was a world in which “the wickedness of man was great upon the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was altogether evil all the time” (Genesis 6:5). All the time! That is what this age is building towards. Presently, it isn’t yet “all the time” but an increasingly large chunk of it. What plays out at music awards and the likes of Olympic opening ceremonies is pretty tame compared to what is still to come. For that is just a bunch of parody acts of predictable trash. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it! But don’t expect that your hysteria will change anything. It will not.

In a way, going totally over the top about a symbolic performance which is only a cheap caricature of the real Satanism just makes people think that Christians are somewhat nuts. It would be infinitely better to be thought of as ‘nuts’ for calmly, lovingly and powerfully proclaiming the glory of Christ rather than for being rabidly shocked at what this evil age naturally produces! What do you expect in a corrupted world such as this? Using all these silly quasi-satanic trappings is exactly how one would expect liberal, sexually-debauched, ‘woke’ worldlings to behave. This whole world is a hellhole disguised as “civilisation”. But it is a world “under the power of the evil one” (1 John 5:19), and tasteless acts with quasi-satanic trappings is all we can expect.

The real Satanism, however, is always rooted in phenomenal deception and not in very obvious darkness. This is what we need to understand. Satan operates predominantly as a suave-talking, smooth-operating “angel of light”, not as a horned goat uttering obscenities, dressed in a sinister-looking cowl and throwing blood everywhere! True, unadulterated Satanism must naturally be anything which promotes the ambitions of Satan. Is it Satan’s ultimate goal to have a handful of warped crackpots chanting his name while engaging in a bizarre ritual? Is it Satan’s ultimate goal to have “queer” entertainers wearing horns at a sporting event or cabaret performance? What purpose could these possibly serve? Those practices would never become mainstream. Even the vast majority of unbelievers are not attracted to such nonsense and see them solely as entertainment. So, although those acts may seem sensational and engender a lot of fuss and media interest, they are not at all ingredients of effective Satanism. In short, they are a distraction and deflection away from what Satanism really consists of.

Thus, the real Satanism involves huge “angel of light” deception and consists of anything which contributes to the deflection of humans away from truth, a vehement denial of  Christ, the belittlement and corrupting of Christ’s disciples and, above all, anything which contributes towards Satan’s attempted endgame in this world which is, ultimately, the institution of a global governmental empire with the installation of his man at the helm of it, the “man of lawlessness”, the Antichrist. Those are the components of the real Satanism. Therefore Satanism far more realistically consists of such things as the United Nations, the Hajj at Mecca, the intelligence community’s use of psyops and mind-control, organisations promoting globalism, the lauding of such icons as CIA asset the Dalai Lama and gurus such as Sai Baba and OSHO, the ministries of “Christian” teachers such as Benny Hinn, the development of Transhumanism, the Parliament of the World’s Religions, the mass of false christs, impostors, and wolves in sheep’s clothing, and so much more of a similar nature.

You may be shocked if I say that most religious practices and those of supposed spirituality today — if they are not centred on the Christ of the Bible — are in reality Satanism, without ever mentioning Satan and always presenting themselves as beneficial and wonderful; for it is through such deception (and deflection) that Satan actually operates. At the heart of Satanism — what lies behind all manifestations of it — is identical to the definition of what the apostle, John, called “the spirit of the Antichrist”:

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses Jesus as the Christ who has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God, and this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and now is already in the world” (1 John 4:1-3).

The ‘spirit of the Antichrist’ involves the complete denial that Christ has come in the flesh as the Messiah, which means that He is the chosen One to transform this world by overcoming Satan. This has nothing to do with any religion, for Christ did not come into this world to create a religion. It is simply pure truth. To disbelieve and openly deny that Christ is God come in the flesh is the ‘spirit of the Antichrist’. The ‘spirit of the Antichrist’ is satanic, for the Antichrist will be Satan’s man on earth in the same way as Christ, the Son of God, was sent by God the Father (John 7:16; 12:49). The ‘spirit of the Antichrist’ forms the underlying essence of Satanism.

The true Satanism is not about dressing up in weird outfits and engaging in the ritual sacrifice of a virgin, or prancing about in a pair of horns, or chanting Satan’s name in a temple of darkness. If Satanism were merely that, then only a few warped crackpots would go for it (which they do anyway!). But from the beginning of time, Satan has been working through dishonest recruitment in a big way, so he uses methods most people could never imagine. Being the master of deception, he cleverly gets people on his side through beliefs, activities, and practices which appear to be the very opposite of what most people believe that Satanism is.

Behind all manifestations of Satanism, the foundation of his recruitment is to ensure that people never have a heart realization that Christ came in the flesh as the divinely-appointed way to life and restoration (both for individuals and for the entire cosmos). Just as John said above that ‘the spirit of the Antichrist’ involves deliberately not confessing that Jesus is the Christ who has come in the flesh, so it is also ‘the spirit of Satan’. For the Antichrist will be wholly empowered by Satan. The Antichrist will be Satan’s man on earth — the usurper of Christ, claiming that he is God and quite likely to be passing himself off to the gullible inhabitants of earth as the returned ‘Christ’ (or the returned Mahdi for Muslims, or the Messiah-to-come for the Jews, or the Bodhisattva Maitreya for the Buddhists, or Lord Maitreya for the New Age folks, or The Pahana of the Hopi Indians, on which I have elaborated in detail elsewhere in this chapter). As the apostle Paul puts it: “He will oppose and exalt himself above every so-called god or object of worship. So he will seat himself in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God” (2 Thessalonians 2:4). Thus, the Antichrist will simply be reaping the fruits of what Satan has sown throughout history through many “mini-antichrists” in his rampage to prevent people from confessing that the Christ has come in the flesh as Jesus.

The Antichrist is the natural culmination of Satan’s work on earth. Every single one of his endeavours is geared towards that end. The revering of the Antichrist is the natural culmination of the human narcissism which results from the alienation from the Divine which came about through the Fall in Eden. Therefore, “the spirit of the Antichrist” is actually the culmination of Satan’s teaching, which is what Satanism really is. Thus, I am demonstrating that ‘the spirit of the Antichrist’, which is always highly deceptive and diversionary from truth, is indistinguishable from Satanism, if properly understood.

Let me emphasise this again: Genuine full-fledged Satanism — which is the ultimate in strategies of artifice and subterfuge — is not really to be found in Dennis Wheatley novels, Bohemian Grove events, Anton LaVey’s antics in San Francisco or Michael Aquino’s Temple of Set. Those are red herrings — mere theatrical caricatures as a diversionary tactic (though still lesser forms of Satanism nevertheless). Even many church people naively think that Satanism is merely what happens when you play with Ouija boards or chant “All hail, Satan!” at a black mass ritual. However, the real Satanism — the one which is overlooked by the mass of people, whether within the church or outside it — involves the narcissistic celebration of the self and the denial of the incarnation of the Christ. Here we come to the heart of understanding the true meaning of Satan and the darkness he brings into this cosmos.

The narcissistic celebration of the self and the denial of the incarnation of the Christ is “the spirit of the Antichrist” and the essence of Satanism. This is the complete opposite of the spirit which is in the disciples of Christ, which involves the denial of self and the confession of Christ as the Saviour of the cosmos and harbinger of the new aeon. As He said to His disciples: “If anyone wants to come after Me [i.e. be My disciple], he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me” (Matthew 16:24). When Christ asked Peter who he thought that He is, he replied: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16). That is the heart-confession on the lips of all Christ’s disciples — the very opposite of ‘the spirit of the Antichrist’ which seeks to deny Christ and narcissistically celebrate the self as a little god.

The revealing of the Antichrist will come after countless centuries of incessant grooming by the forces of darkness, in which people have gone ever further and deeper into narcissism and pride, celebrating themselves and taking pride in their sexual perversions as if they were little gods, being deceived by every conceivable trick acted upon them, opposing Divine law, hating the very idea of a God whose presence is a judgement on them, or even imagining they are themselves ‘Divine’, as eastern and New Age ‘spirituality’ encourages, as they metaphorically dig their own graves and imagine that they are wholly autonomous beings who need to answer to no one.

Yet, when the Antichrist is revealed, the pinnacle of Satanism, those same people will willingly answer to him, and even worship him by their reverence for him, imagining him to be the answer to all the world’s problems — for that is how he will have been presented to them and how they will have been groomed to see him. For, after years of plagues, false flag operations, terrorism (even government-sponsored bio-terrorism), manufactured wars, and much increased geophysical disasters, they will be desperate for a leader — someone to rescue them from the horrors of living in a fallen world, someone to be their saviour on earth, some ‘great leader’ to provide them with ‘peace and security’. But bear in mind that all that imagined “peace and security” will be their downfall. As Paul put it: “While people are saying, ‘Peace and security’, destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

For the Antichrist will not come appearing like some hyper-spooky Damien (as in the movie, “The Omen”) or a power-crazy, Orwellian Big Brother type (well, not at first anyway) but with a mouth full of seeming ‘wisdom’ and the smooth-words of the consummate politician, a sorcerer performing what appear to be miracles (rather like that demonic, phony Indian ‘guru’, the late Sai Baba), and seeming to be the ultimate wise world leader — a pseudo-spiritual ‘statesman for our time’. That too is the real Satanism, for the real Satanism is always hideously deceptive and thoroughly duplicitous. And when that satanic manifestation meets the minds of those who narcissistically celebrate themselves and who deny the incarnation of the Christ (also Satanism), there will be an explosion of the utmost satanic behaviour in the world which will involve the mass of people actually worshipping Satan through the Antichrist (Revelation 13:4 & 8). But they will not be worshipping a gross Baphometic horned Satan. They will have been deceived into thinking that they are worshipping God the Creator Himself.

The Antichrist will be the ultimate manifestation of Satanism in its clothing of false light personified, who will demand veneration of himself, and thereby of Satan, who empowers him, as Satan will not be presented as something darkly satanic to the world but wonderfully luciferic and glorious. In spite of the fact that he really is a monster, the Antichrist — as Satan’s incarnate manifestation — will not be presented as a character with horns, pitchfork and a pointy tail, but as something like ‘a being of light from another galaxy or dimension’, with all the luciferian connotations that go with that. Being taken in by the Antichrist will be the culmination of years, decades, centuries of all the grooming of the world’s population by ‘angel of light’ Satanism. For he will come falsely proclaiming his phony “peace and security” using demonic “power, signs and lying wonders” (2 Thessalonians 2:9; Revelation 13:14). And the world will be impressed by it, will love it, and will be inspired to revere the one doing it and the power which lies behind it.

When I said at the beginning of this excursus that “the real Satanism, the effective Satanism — the Satanism which most people would probably not even recognise as Satanism — is about irresistible deception, chicanery, counterfeit, misrepresentation, mendacity, mesmerism, and imposture, now perhaps you can understand what I mean.
