Last call for proofreaders of the completely revised second edition of my 550-page commentary on the Book of Revelation, entitled “The Essential Apocalypse: Making Sense of the Book of Revelation”. It now has (so far) almost 10,000 more words than the previous edition (which is almost an additional 5% of material), plus many corrections and refinements of text and design.
I will have completed my final read-through by the end of Friday next week (9th August). I already have five proofreaders, but having more for such a large work is always useful. You do not need to be a pro, just discerning and a bit of a nit-picker! I need opinions from many different sources, ranging from pro-proofreader to airport-book reader type. 😊 You would be looking for errors of any kind, typographical, theological or conceptual. Or, if that’s not your bag, then just seeing that it really does makes sense would be very helpful (though some parts of it are necessaily complex). It’s just that the more eyes on it the better. I want to ensure as clean a copy as possible because this manuscript is going to be printed as a physical book and, unlike digital copies, a printed work is not subject to further casual correction.
If you think you can spend the time to do this, please let me know. You would receive a draft PDF copy of the text at the end of next week and you would have one calendar month in which to read it (that’s around 18 paperback-size pages per day). Obviously, it would be best read on a tablet or laptop/desktop computer screen. But the file will adapt to a phone screen if that is all you have (though a larger screen would be more preferable for spotting errors).
Anyway, COULD THIS BE YOU?!? If so, I would love to hear from you at diakrisis-project@outlook.com . Oh, and you will receive a free copy of the book when it will be printed (hopefully in the first week of October)…
