Dear Friends,
The title is a serious question. Having had it proofread by a number of people, I am now poised to publish the massively expanded (by 45%) second edition of “The Serpent and the Cross: Religious Corruption in an Evil Age”. The first edition was published by a courageous individual, the late Michael Kimmit from Birmingham, who set up his moniker of “K & M Books” specially to publish it in 1994. He was willing to “bankroll” a major print-run, in spite of its controversial nature. I am looking for a similar publishing situation in the UK for the second edition which will be ready for printing by the end of this month of August. This would enable it to have more of an international reach. Obviously, mainstream “Christian” publishers would not touch it with a ten-foot bargepole! That is a good thing as I would not want them anywhere near it.🙂
If you want to know more about the contents of the book, there is a link to the Brochure about it which I put out recently: https://diakrisis-project.com/2025/07/04/pre-publication-information-brochure-for-the-serpent-the-cross-now–available-for-distribution/ . There you will find the front cover; an image of a page from the front matter; a condensed layout of some of the Contents headings; the Author’s Prefaces from both the 1994 edition and the 2025 edition; extracts from ten professional Book Reviews of the first edition; Readers’ Reviews from the 2nd. Edition (three so far, with more to come); and an image of the rear cover containing information about both the book and the author.
Anyway, if you know of anything helpful, please let me know by sending an email to diakrisis-project@outlook.com . If nothing comes of this, then I will try and raise the money for an initial very small print-run and publish it myself with the same printer that I used for “The Essential Apocalypse” last year. If I do so, according to the quote I just received from that printer, the price will be £22 UK GBP ($30 USD or €25 Euro) plus postage. That is at cost-price (no profit) for a 1,040-page book containing nearly half a million words.
Over to you…
That’s all for now. Blessings from me…

Sadly no ideas spring to mind

Well that’s okay. I knew it would be a long-shot. Maybe I should see that as something positive, in the sense that there will be no potential editorial interference! 😀 I’ll just have to raise the money and do it myself. 😉
