LIVING-ROOM VIDEO #105: “The Devil’s Hamster-Wheel”. Here is a new song, completed last night. It’s a kind of “State of the World Address” (if that doesn’t sound too grandiose!), containing much advice about how to avoid being “swayed by propaganda’s strong allure” (words from the song). The video is below the lyrics. I hope you find it interesting. Here are the lyrics:

As I look out across this sphere,
I see there, above all,
a glorifying of the Lie —
a mendacious waterfall.
So there are some who give it out
while the masses soak it in;
and the reason is they hate the truth
and prefer the Lie’s toxin.

This hatred of the truth has spread
like wild pandemic fire.
That’s not how it presents itself
so it wears a mock attire:
“We act for your security”
“It’s for your own freedom”.
To infantilise the mass of folks
they use mesmerism.

Those “leaders” have hypnotic powers
& they’ve learned to use them well.
Svengali or Rasputin-like,
they make minds turn to gel.
So I have often wondered why
so many they ensnare.
Thus here are the conclusions reached,
with you now here I’ll share:

First, there are many harbouring
‘daddy-issues’ which they do
not realise is what they bring
down every avenue.
That’s how they come to idolise
a range of hollow men.
This is even when, in a false claim,
they say they’re “born-again”.

Second, there are many who
apply Old Cov’nant law
to all walks of society;
they’re playing at ‘shock and awe’.
“Dominionists” is what they’re called;
“Seven Mountain Mandate” too.
They don’t know what spirit they are of;
it’s the Devil’s rendezvous.

With passion, I must emphasise
how you must not be swayed
by propaganda’s strong allure
which before us is arrayed.
So keep your head when all around
are clearly losing theirs.
This is just as true whether dealing with
rank bums or billionaires.

This world is going just as it
was written long ago
in Sacred Texts (the Bible)
which what’s happ’ning foreshadow.
When darkness masquerades as ‘light’
and evil’s cloaked as ‘good’
across the world stage in such depth,
the Earth’s steeped in falsehood.

To make your country great ‘again’
(if it ever was before!),
you need to be transformed yourself,
your mind and spirit cured.
If you’re screwed-up and controllable,
or manipulated are,
you will only then perpetuate
the same old repertoire.

And that “old repertoire” I see
enacted in all lands.
How to be transformed, it seems
that most don’t understand.
There is no use in looking for
a human “saviour” to
revolutionise the way minds work
or make our spirits anew.

There’s only One who can provide
the way for us to be.
Two thousand years ago He came;
such truth’s no mystery!
Unless His Spirit works in us,
we will wander round like fools,
being taken in by hypocrites
while chaos in us [and out there!] rules.

There’s nothing new under the Sun,
as history’s on repeat.
For most that happens on this Earth
is vanity replete.
Unless we can full step away
from the Devil’s ‘hamster wheel’,
we will just be fodder for the Lie
and our souls will never heal.

So now you know the reason for
this little song I write.
I urge you to call out to God
and thus receive your sight.
Until you do, you’ll be buffeted
by the evil wind which blows
across the loveless wastes of Earth,
increasing all its woes.
