Introduction

IT SEEMS THAT SOME find it difficult to receive my frequent assertions that the upper echelons of the governments (along with their handlers, the intelligence agencies) of the United States of America and Great Britain (and all others, of course) would have anything other than the security interests of their populations at heart. But here we have an eye-opener which both challenges and changes one’s perspective on reality, showing how these organisations and agencies are part of the spiritual battle in which we are engaged. In this article, I want to open all this up as a brief summary of how this operates.

In fact, once you have seen through this charade of phoney authority and governance, your life will never be the same again. For phoney authority is a charade which operates on a multitude of levels of existence, both in the world and especially these days in the church. To see through one major charade — especially that which involves authority — equips us better to see through all the others. One then becomes much more invincibly “charade-proof” — a most important quality at this stage of the “present evil age” (Galatians 1:4).

The ultimate “authority charade” will one day be acted out before our eyes (2 Thessalonians 2:3-12; cf. Revelation 13:1-18), if we are around to experience it. In fact, the preparations for it have already begun with a vengeance, with a one-world government being almost on our doorstep. What chance will we have of seeing through that greatest of all charades if we cannot see through the lesser charades of today? As Paul said to those who imagined that Christ would return before the great apostasy and the revealing of the Antichrist, “Let no one deceive you in any way” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). This little article is being written to assist us in that process of undeception.

Many believers fail to discern the need to interpret unfolding events with a watchful Christian eye. For example, someone wrote to me recently, saying: “I really do not have time to read about all the junk that the world is engaged in but appreciate Bible teaching”. It is true that no one wants, or even needs, to read about ALL the junk that the world is engaged in. But if we never attempt to interpret the spiritual dimensions of the major events of the age (what many mistakenly dismiss as mere “junk”), we will fail to grow in wisdom and discernment. The reason I sometimes write about the “junk” that the world is engaged in is because it is the “junk” in which the church has now also become engaged! Our real concern in all this is not so much the reality of the events of the world but the fact that Christians en masse in very many churches have fallen hook, line and sinker for the deception in these events and what that deception is leading towards in history. For the real role of the Church is to hold out the light of the Gospel, not to mess about with trying to enact phony “power, signs and pseudo-wonders”, as these are precisely what the Antichrist will deal in when he is revealed, and all “energized by Satan” (2 Thessalonians 2:9). If you are taken in by the phony “signs and wonders” and “pseudo-deliverances” of the Pentecostal-Charismatic Movement, then you will sure-as-hell fall hook, line and sinker for those performed by the Antichrist.

Learning from Precedent

There is a recent historical precedent. In the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s, a number of people (including myself) ardently warned the churches about the deception of the so-called “Signs and Wonders Movement” and the “Charismatic Movement” and where it was all heading. Throughout those years, many of the big names in the Christian scene, and even in the evangelical scene, downplayed those warnings and said that we were being divisive and over-dramatic. “Don’t give us all that negativity”, people said, “Just continue with your Bible teaching”.

Little by little, leaders from within those deceptive movements took over many churches, evangelical organisations and associations. Lo and behold, the finely-honed deception of the “Toronto Blessing” hit the whole church in a highly orchestrated fashion in 1994 and the mass of people fell down like pins in a bowling alley, as if responding to an unseen cue. Lemmings. Just like lemmings. Millions upon millions of people becoming the victims of mind-control and imagining that they were on Cloud Ninety-Nine, a stone’s throw from heaven. And all that those who originally warned could do was sit on the sidelines watching the fray and sighing deeply with tears.

Now another fray is coming, and it can already be gleaned out of the deceptions of today. Please read on.

The Christian’s Duty

It is one of the Christian’s duties — and especially one of the Christian pastor’s duties — to warn people about deceptions, whether they are coming from within the church or from outside of it. This is not to say that one should be obsessive about such warning. It is only necessary to do it dutifully and compassionately rather than vindictively or rantingly. The apostle Paul spoke about this twin-pincer movement of the enemy when he gave his emotional parting address to the elders of the church at Ephesus:

“I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them. Therefore, be alert and remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears”.

Acts 20:29-31

Here we see that the “savage wolves” — those intent to destroy the sheep — infiltrated the church from outside and also false teachers arose within the church on the inside (cf. 2 Timothy 3:13). It is a twin-pincer movement. So it is today also. So it has always been; and so it will continue to be until the end of this age comes upon us. The “savage wolves” of today take many forms and the sheep must be protected from them all.

The great sixteenth century English pastor and theologian, William Perkins, in his treatise on the duties of the Christian pastor, said that those duties could be summed up under two main areas: 1) Bringing the sheep into the fold and then 2) Protecting them from the wolves. In reality, all pastoral duty is covered by those two elements. They are another way of speaking about evangelism and teaching. A real Christian teacher understands that his teaching ministry not only enables believers to grow but it also protects them from the wolves. This is what Paul meant when he said that, among other teaching roles, “pastors and teachers” are a gift to the church in order that

“we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head”.

Ephesians 4:11,14-15

We can see from this that it is not merely false teaching about which we must warn but also about “the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming”. If that sounds like a deliberate conspiracy to deceive, this is because IT IS! And people need to know about that conspiratorial deception — that “deceitful scheming” — especially when it involves the church and impinges on true spirituality. People need to know about those things because knowledge is protection. There is no value in teaching if it does not protect people from the wolves. Therefore, warning about deception has to form an essential part of teaching.

I am not speaking about a hysterical sort of warning, full of panic and faithless anxiety, resulting in people running about like headless chickens in a frenzy (which, sadly, can be seen in some circles). I am speaking about a passionately-felt concern for souls delivered in a level-headed, rational manner which results in a mature spiritual response, so that we may “in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head”.

What on earth is the point of appreciating Bible teaching if one is failing to apply it to real situations and thereby falling for lies and deceptions of all kinds? That is when teaching just becomes an aid to pietism rather than to the practical outworking in the day-to-day life of the disciple of Christ. It is the duty of the Christian to make him/herself impervious to deceptions, insofar as that is possible to be UNdeceived. The lies and deceptions worked by governments and their agencies are just as important to discern as the lies and deceptions from false teachers in the church. It is the duty of the Christian to undo the twisting of worldly words as much as it is his or her duty to undo the twisting of Scripture. If the Christian is utterly taken in by worldly deceptions and even promotes them (as many do today), or if s/he remains silent about atrocities s/he has discerned, then surely s/he cannot be a trustworthy guide in spiritual matters. If the Christian is soaking up and advocating worldly deceptions, then how can one take his or her evangelism as truth?

Faithful to my Mission Statement

Please do not be taken aback when you sometimes read articles by me about the dark workings that are shaping up in this world. We have to take heed, see, perceive, discern, beware, observe, discover, understand. Discerning evil goes much further than merely spotting false teachers.

The stated purpose in my Mission Statement is “to provide written commentary”, not merely on doctrinal and pastoral issues but also on “topical issues” too. Alongside of that, I also pledge “to hold out a hand of rescue to those who suffer psychological and spiritual manipulation in the religious scene”. The modern political and governmental scene is simply riddled with psychological and spiritual manipulation. Every time you switch on your television or read your newspapers or watch a film, you are assaulted by psychological and spiritual manipulation. That manipulation has serious implications for Christians, and it can profoundly affect their spiritual lives in a detrimental sense.

Even Paul warns us not to be deceived by the psychological and spiritual manipulations of the ruling powers when he speaks of the “power, signs and pseudo-wonders” of the Antichrist in 2 Thessalonians 2:9 — all designed to exercise a deceptive sway over the world. When governments have antichristian aims, their actions have a fallout in the lives of believers. It is the duty of pastors to ensure that the Lord’s people are aware of all this.

Even within the majority of churches across the world today, there is more psychological and spiritual manipulation than genuine ministry. Such is the reality of life today. My (and your) job is to expose these things. That should be the work of any genuine discernment ministry — exposing the works of darkness for what they really are (Ephesians 5:11) so as to give people the tools to see through all this for themselves so that they can be emancipated from it and can lead productive spiritual lives. That is the duty and work of any genuine pastoral or discernment ministry.

Ostriches who Ostracize

Maybe you will say that the apostle Paul did not expose the deceptions being carried out by the Roman Emperor and other dignitaries of his day, therefore neither should we. Well, firstly, we do not know what Paul spoke about outside of his biblical writings, in terms of his pastoral work with the churches. But secondly, even more important is the fact that Christians in Paul’s day did not run around claiming that the Roman Emperor was a born-again Christian or messenger of God (as I saw American Christians ludicrously doing with G.W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump!). Neither did Christians in Paul’s day encourage or engage in Roman flag-waving or jingoistic activity in support of the Emperor (as do many American Christians with their flag and corrupt presidents). In Paul’s day they paid their taxes, but they did not entertain Caesar as a guest in their churches. They obeyed the laws of the land insofar as they conformed to the laws of God, but they did not promote Caesar’s criminal policies in their teachings and writings. They “rendered unto Caesar that which was Caesar’s”, but they did not buy his lies or propagate them. However, the majority of Christians today want you to be like them and believe the lies of the modern emperors of the world; and then when you refuse to follow their crooked path, they denounce you as a conspiracy nut and ostracize you from their pristine coteries.

If the Roman Emperors Trajan, Decius, Diocletian, Domitian or Nero (who all persecuted Christians terribly in the first three centuries AD) had passed themselves off as Christian and devised dastardly, murderous, antichristian schemes to entrap the majority of Christians of their day into supporting them and even promoting them, then those few Christians who could see through those schemes would have been quick to warn the churches about them.

In our own day, the empires of the world — with the emperor of the United States of America currently figureheading at their helm — have devised a plan to usher in a totalitarian world government by stealth. Along with successive previous governments, they have murdered and lied in order to effect this New World Order. At the same time, church leaders have been involved in a plan to usher in an ecumenical interfaith global religious consensus — a New Spirituality — which completely destroys the claims of Christ. The New World Order and this New Spirituality are two sides of the same coin — the two beasts in their late adolescence — the one political, the other religious. The evidence for all this is inescapable. Yet the majority of professing Christians would rather play at being ostriches and ridicule the Noahs of our time.

It reminds me of the way that so many Christians pretend that the Book of Revelation doesn’t exist or that, if it does, we should never read it or even attempt to preach on it, except as a vague devotional exercise with no application whatsoever, or that its contents have all been fulfilled long ago. The pertinence of a certain Scripture creeps into view:

“As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark. And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man”.

Matthew 24:37-39

We have no excuse for ignorance. The warnings are everywhere. When the Apostle John warned us not to “worship the beast and its image or to receive the mark of the beast” (Revelation 14:9-11), he was essentially warning us not to be suckered by the deceptions of the satanic world-system — the whole system of ‘Antichrist’ with the ‘spirit of the Antichrist’ — with an eye on the ultimate deception by the ultimate world government under the emperorship of the ultimate fallen man. Receiving “the mark of the beast” involves an irreparable spiritual conviction which has enormous spiritual implications. [Click here to read my article on “666 and the mark of the beast”]. To throw in one’s lot with the corrupt world system is a personal action which has serious fallout in one’s spiritual life. This is what so many fail to understand today.

Deception in ANY Sense

“Let no one deceive you by any means…”, said the apostle Paul (2 Thessalonians 2:3). He was warning the first century church at Thessalonica not to be taken in by those who said that the return of Christ had already happened, when the reality was that there first had to come a great apostasy and the revealing of the Antichrist. There are many today in the churches who would rather foster the illusion of world regeneration and global religious revival than admit that the future holds in store a global apostasy, universal deception, moral degeneration, vicious persecution and “the power of the holy people” being “completely shattered” by the Antichrist (Daniel 12:7; cf. Revelation 11:7; 13:7) before the Lord Jesus Christ returns to establish His eternal kingdom on the Day of Judgement.

“Let no one deceive you by any means”. The important qualifying phrase in that sentence is “by any means”. Not just by false prophets in churches. Not just by false teachers in the world. But by ANY means. The Greek there means “in any manner whatsoever”. There is no way that we should let ourselves be deceived by anyone or anything in any way WHATSOEVER. No way! Especially, we should not be deceived by the antichristian world system posing as a benignly biblical regime. That is THE deception of the day today.

Sadly, the warnings of Scripture have fallen mainly on deaf ears in the modern churches. For the “savage wolves” are not generally those finely caricatured false teachers who look like the arch-villain in children’s stories, with shifty eyes, a pencil-line moustache, a hook nose and a menacing voice (or horns on head!). The “savage wolves”, the deceivers, come in many forms and colours and do not merely operate within the confines of the walls of churches. Deception comes from many angles in vastly differing shapes and sizes but almost always in a smooth-and-smarmy angel of light costume.

How easily we are fooled and how important it is to be “wise as serpents” rather than merely basking in the wide-eyed innocence of doves (Matthew 10:16). For truly we are sheep in the midst of wolves. Yet to listen to the majority of Christians today, you would think that wolves and serpents were extinct, and that doves and sheep were the apex of evolutionary design!

The Christian’s Business

No doubt there will be many professing Christians who will claim that the things that I say and the ideas which I express in many of my articles are either a) wrong, b) wacky, c) only for conspiracy nuts, d) seditious, or e) the government’s business. But nothing could be further from the truth. So unversed have we become in discerning the depth of deception that we think that its exposure is a strange work. One man wrote to me, saying, “Why bother yourself with all this? The apostle said that we should meditate on whatever is lovely. We want sermons not tirades”. I will say it again and again until I am blue in the face: The business of the Christian (and especially the Christian pastor-teacher) is truth and the dismantling of falsehood in all its forms — even though saying that is guaranteed to get his character (or body!) assassinated by either mainstream Christians or the big players in the secular scene.

I contend that the Christian cannot preach the Christian gospel with any credibility if he either ignores or gives the nod to institutionalised corruption of any kind. The Christian cannot expect to be taken seriously as a servant of Truth if he is a sycophant to corrupt powers and if he toadies tamely to oppressive or destructive regimes. How can someone who is plainly brainwashed by the crude manipulations of this world have any credibility whatsoever as an evangelist telling the truth about Jesus Christ?

Furthermore, a knowledge of true history empowers us to understand the present. When all the forces of darkness come together openly in the future as part of the greatest persecution ever known, we will not be blown away by the events of the day. We will have a context in which to understand what is happening to us. We will have the lessons of history to enable us to understand the circumstances of the present and the future.

The Death of Democracy

The idea of democracy today has descended into a joke. There is no real freedom, and the powers and authorities are not defending freedom in any way. If anyone of major influence speaks openly against the New World Order in a manner which exposes it for what it is — no matter how rationally or reasonably s/he may do so, or no matter how much one is motivated by humanitarian or spiritual concern — one is likely to wind up experiencing varying degrees of harassment or even an untimely death.

We have now reached the stage where darkness is being called light and light is being called darkness; where evil is being called good and good is being called evil (cf. Isaiah 5:20-21). When the powers come and kill you today, they don’t even care who knows it anymore. At one time they would do it covertly and make it look convincingly as if you had committed suicide or had undergone some perfectly explainable accident. Now they just come and kill you. They even have ways of giving people cancer, heart-attacks and a whole host of other “natural cause” types of death. Do you know why they do not care even if people realise what they are doing? It is because they have the cast-iron assurance that 99% of the world couldn’t care less what they do. And the remaining 1% who DO care is made up either of those who will be too intimidated to say anything or those who will themselves eventually be done away with.

It seems that there are two main classes of people in this world, and in the church too. There are those dark malefactors (the minority) who secretly and hideously work to destroy goodness and promote evil. And there are those who would rather turn a blind eye to them (the majority).

Where are the heroes for today?

Where are the forthtelling ‘prophets’, the probing preachers of truth who will not hide their faces when the torch is in their eyes?

Where are the fearless exposers of the works of darkness?

Where are the unflinching disciples of Christ who will see the government of antichrist for the spiritual menace that it is?

Where are those who do not drink with the flabby, waffling compromisers and evanjellycals who travel on the broad way?

Where are those who will have no part with the sycophants, toadies and grovellers in the churches who bow and scrape before corrupt double-dealers?

Where are those for whom compromise and mediocrity are the filthiest words in the English vocabulary?

Where are those who do not have to toe a party line, who do not mind being seen to be different, who do not have to follow the imprimaturs of those impostors who seek to control the mind of the church?

Where are the brave, the courageous, the good men and true, who will stand up for the Truth when it looms into view?

Where are the heroes for today?

Subjection Does Not Mean Subjugation

It is at this point that the compromised church chimes in with the charge that we are being unbiblical in criticising governments. “Governments”, they say, “have been appointed by God, therefore you have no right to speak against them”. They then smugly quote the following Bible verses:

“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good”.

Romans 13:1-4

“Therefore”, they continue, “if governing authorities are God’s ministers to us for good, then we have no business in exposing their evils or resisting them”. To which I reply that I have no intentions of resisting them by violent means. The passage cited above is a warning to us not to “resist the authority” in the sense of not engaging in political revolt or revolution (as many Jews wanted to in Paul’s day) and to obey the laws of the land. I uphold that absolutely. However, there are important exceptions to this. For when the Lord tells us to be subject to the governing authorities, He is not telling us to kowtow to (or turn a blind eye to) activities which would be abhorrent to Him or to practise things which are plainly against His own law. When Peter was commanded by the authorities to stop teaching about Christ, he and the other apostles said: “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29).

The apostolic voice of Paul said: “You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men” (1 Corinthians 7:23). On this basis, I do not wish to become a slave of the New World Order, which has been set up to overturn everything which I hold precious in the Lord, and which has been conceived as the vehicle for the revealing of the Antichrist. I will obey the laws of the government of my land, insofar as they correspond with the laws of my God and are for the common public good. But I will never submit to any laws, precepts, commands or coercions which cannot be sanctioned from Scripture. Neither will I submit to any manipulations or psyop programmes of Mind Control. Neither will I blindly or dumbly accept their lies and disinformation. Neither will I pretend that their skulduggery is a benign and helpful force for humanity. Neither will I explicitly or implicitly give credence to their ungodly governance — even though the vast majority of professing Christians do so and also expect me to follow suit. But to them I say, “Will you kowtow to the government of the Antichrist, when it is finally revealed?” For if you want to be consistent in your slavish adherence to corrupt government, you will have to bow down before the Beast!

I have good precedents for taking issue with corrupt government in Scripture: The Old Testament prophets did not merely denounce spiritual adultery; they also took the leaders to task for oppression, exploitation and acts of repressive violence (e.g. Isaiah 1:17; 33:15-16; 49:26; Jeremiah 22:17; Ezekiel 18:12; 22:7; Luke 3:12-14). If you think that real Christians shouldn’t say things like this about governing bodies, you will have to take issue with the Old Testament prophets, who continually exposed not only the religious corruption of theocratic Israel but also the political corruption which led to social oppression. (e.g. Micah 3:1-2, 9; Jeremiah 2:34; 5:27-29; Ezekiel 22:29). Professing Christians in their droves have stood by quietly for centuries while successive despots massacred millions. However, the word of the Lord, through Isaiah, says: “Rebuke the oppressor” (Isaiah 1:17). And so I will!

If you then go on to tell me that “Jesus didn’t expose corruption among the authorities, so why should you?”, I will respond vigorously by saying: “Try reading chapter 23 of the Gospel of Matthew for one of the most blistering attacks on the corruption of rulers [those who “sit in Moses’ seat”] that one could ever read!”. Broods of vipers are just as active today as they were then.

Thus, verbally and in writing I will assume a benign but unswerving “prophetic” role (in the broadest truthtelling sense of the term) concerning corrupt and godless government. I will refuse to be led up the garden path by their machinations and poses. I will remind them of what God requires of them and in what ways their actions are of the spirit of antichrist. I will respect them as God’s appointed lawmakers, but I will never condone them as Satan’s co-opted lawbreakers. I will be a terrible thorn in their side but never a knowing knife in their heart.

The occult-driven governmental power which showed itself in Nazi Germany for a brief time is the same power which lies behind the New World Order today, spearheaded by the evil empire at the heart of the USA. [If you do not believe that, try reading my book “Discerning the Signs of the Times” by clicking here]. This is not merely a political or governmental scenario. It has massive spiritual ramifications for every believer alive today. Until Christians understand the fact that politics and governance are both empowered by spiritual agencies (angelic and demonic) and engender spiritual fallout, there will continue to be a vast veil of ignorance in the compromised churches today.

The Goal of Infiltration

The church has been infiltrated by enemy forces which have wormed their way into influential positions in churches and Christian organisations, whose goal is the complete destruction of true Christian witness and credibility. They peddle false teaching on a massive scale and perpetuate a false “Jesus”; they undermine genuine pastors and teachers; they spread lies and slanderous rumours about good Christian ministries; some even pose as genuine Christian ministries and set up websites from which they gain a following and then publish damning articles to destroy other ministries — especially those which have been most efficiently exposing the works of darkness. All this and more is happening today, and most professing Christians haven’t even got an inkling of a clue about it.

All this has enormous implications for the future: If professing Christians today are so blind that they are programmed to believe the current lie being distilled through the media about a phoney “war against terrorism”, programmed to accept whatever anyone in secular or pastoral authority tells them, programmed to believe everything they read in books, newspapers and on the internet, everything they hear on radio, television and in the other media, how will they cope when the biggest lie of all time one day comes to pass (2 Thessalonians 2:11)? They will be sheer fodder for falsehood.

My reason for sharing all this with you in this article is not to fill your hearts with fear or to make you a victim of paranoia. But I do want to discourage you from making an idol out of your country, your government and your security agencies; I do want to deter you from false notions of patriotism; I do want to enable you to see through the charade of democracy, and to encourage you to look beyond and behind what your government or the Illuminati-controlled mainstream media tells you.

The Christian is in the Business of UNdeceiving People

Remember this: The Christian, above all other people, is in the business of UNdeceiving people. The business of the true Christian is to bring people out of bondage and illusion into the light of true understanding. The business of the true Christian is to see right through the foolishness of this evil world and to stand apart from it — NOT to assist it or propagate it, or remain silent about it, as most do today.

How often have Christians merely propped up evil and corrupt regimes — whether in Germany, or the United States of America, the U.K. or wherever? It is not our place to buy into the baloney fed to us by a compromised media and corrupt government, but to “expose the works of darkness”, so that we are better equipped as evangelists. Yes! As evangelists! How can people take us seriously as conveyors of spiritual truth if we so easily accept and propagate worldly lies?

Rather than the global revival imagined by many Christians today, the world is gradually building up to a state of global Satanism. If you think that is an extreme remark, I suggest that you check out the last book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation. In the prophetic chapters 13 to 19, we see the clear implementation of a totalitarian regime which is not only satanic in the broadest sense but which is in the service of the demonic realm and which actually pays homage to the prince of darkness himself, the fallen archangel Satan, who has delegated his evil power to a world leader whom John refers to as “the Antichrist” (1 John 2:18) and Paul calls the “man of lawlessness” or “son of perdition” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Make no mistake about it: this is about Satanism. After the Antichrist is revealed to the world, the Scriptures state that “they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast” (Revelation 13:4). The beast is the Antichrist and the dragon is Satan or the Devil (cf. Revelation 20:2). We are heading towards a world of Satan worship (witting or unwitting) — for the Antichrist will be the virtual ‘incarnation’ of Satan himself (2 Thessalonians 2:9; Revelation 13:4), the deceptive foundations of which are being laid even as we read these words.

The whole of the time from the Ascension of Christ until the present has been the subtle build-up to the moment when this satanic world leader will be revealed. The ‘spirit of antichrist’ (1 John 4:3) operates in secret throughout this age, until the actual Antichrist arrives on the scene. That is why it is called the “mystery of iniquity” or “mystery of lawlessness” (2 Thessalonians 2:7). It is a mystery which will one day be revealed.

The New World Order is but one small part of that “mystery of lawlessness”. The same is true of those dark agencies which pose as necessary governmental “security services” but in reality function as secret police forces and armies, enforcing the New World Order through terror and deception. We may not have a choice who terrorises us, but we can certainly choose not to be deceived. “Let no one deceive you” is an imperative which can be obeyed, even if one cannot avoid being terrorised. All we have to do is use our minds and exercise the discernment which is ours, should we choose to do so.

Making Loveliness is not Always Lovely

After reading this, some would still advise us to ignore it all and then say: “The Bible tells us to meditate on things which are pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8)”. True. But in saying that, Paul wasn’t encouraging us to be naive escapists who turn a blind eye to corruption and wickedness. John tells us to “test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1). Paul tells us to “test all things” (1 Thessalonians 5:21) and to let no one deceive us “in any way” whatsoever (2 Thessalonians 2:3). The Lord Jesus warns us: “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Sometimes it is necessary to exercise serious discernment; and when we exercise discernment we must, ipso facto, think about things which are not pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy. However, we think about those unlovely things not as an end in itself but solely in order to rise above them, to enable and encourage others not to be deceived and to develop their awareness and discernment. Surely, such a higher purpose is indeed ultimately pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy!

Remember that the apostle also said: “We are not ignorant of Satan’s devices” (2 Corinthians 2:11). If only we could all say the same thing! The reason that he and his fellow believers were not ignorant of Satan’s devices was because they applied themselves to seeing through them. But so many Christians today seem actually to thrive on being ignorant. Indeed, they revel in their ignorance so much that they detest anyone who dares to divest them of their blinkers! This is why the disciple of Christ should strive to understand these things — to heed the warnings of Scripture and the lessons of history rather than hide himself or herself behind a fog of smug, pietistic devotionalism. What I write about in my articles is not merely “the junk that the world is engaged in”; it is junk which the CHURCH is also engaged in and being hopelessly fooled by! For this reason, I send out this present article in order to contextualise and pave the way for understanding the kind of elements which I have to report on, so that we may realise the legitimacy of exposing the deception inherent in governmental and political activity at this time. For such things have a definite spiritual dimension.

So let no one deceive you by any means. Remember that deception is not just about false teachers filling pulpits but also about phoney politicians plying their snake-oil to the eyes of the public. This is something which we should actively be exposing. But there is a cost. You will be ridiculed and ostracised by unbeliever and professing believer alike, and your income could well suffer. But you will not be the first to have that experience. You will, however, be able to live with yourself and look your Lord in the eye.

So, the ball is in your court. Wake up! Be courageous enough to go against the mind of the majority. Emancipate yourself through the discerning power of Christ from deception in all its forms, for His sake if not for yours. “Let NO ONE deceive you in ANY way!”
