If you were a fallen angel (demon) and you wanted to work out ways to undermine the Gospel and trash the reputation of the people of God, what are the kinds of things that you would do? Well, you could make folks in more liberal churches get very “woke” and start championing socialism, sodomy and transgenderism “because God is a God of love and love is love”. Okay. That would work. Up to a point. But one would need to create something else which is considerably more widespread and drastically more loony-tune in order to make the Church look like a total nuthouse when viewed by the world.
Therefore, surely, one of the principal ways to undermine the Gospel and trash the reputation of the people of God would be to get people in churches to behave like brainwashed idiots — to make people think that being a Christian and having the Holy Spirit means that you act like a whacked-out moron. And you would also make the deception so watertight that a vast number of people in the churches imagine that it’s a sign of the Holy Spirit that you behave like that while the whole world looks at it and thinks that anyone who has anything to do with Christ has been seduced by nonsense. The perfect work of the Devil.
The problem is that this isn’t just a fantasy. It is what has actually happened, as I will demonstrate further below. Let’s face it: The Gospel itself is already enough of a stumbling block without introducing nutjob notions wholesale as if they are part of that Gospel. So how has this happened? We know that after the ascension of Christ the realm of fallen angels under their master, Satan, was cast down to the earth and that this made Satan furious (Revelation 12:9). But not only that, he went to wage war against the people of God, the Church, with considerable venom (Revelation 12-17). As a result of this, wave after wave of warfare has been waged against the true Church over the course of this “present evil age” (as Paul called it in Galatians 1:4, which means from the ascension of Christ to His return). Thereafter, heresy after heresy, with Arianism and Gnosticism leading the pack in the first centuries AD, has tried to alter the unique message of the Church and annul the Deity of Christ in the flesh. The whole schtick of Romanism centring on the cult of the Vatican has not only warped ecclesiastical truth but has rendered a large part of the visible church into a worldly merry-go-round of power and corruption. The Reformation in Europe tried to redress all that but it still wound up with corrupt denominations and powerplay and the papacy is still there revelling in its audacious chutzpah. In the twentieth century to the present, the ecumenical movement has gradually steered the visible church towards syncretism and interfaithism (see my book, “The Trojan Horse in the Temple: The Hidden Agenda of the Ecumenical Movement” for details of that). But, through all this mayhem, the true Ekklesia, the body of Christ, could not be eradicated or swayed from its role as disseminator of truth, as foretold by Jesus (Matthew 16:18) and there has always been preserved “a remnant according to the election of grace” (Romans 11:5).
However, a different march of madness has been working its way through the visible church during the past hundred and twenty years which has unleashed a poisoned chalice into the heart of ecclesiastical life. For a whole mass of professing Christians now deludedly think that speaking total gibberish is a hotline to God — a “private prayer language” — a sign of having the Spirit and being superspiritual. A whole mass of Christians now deludedly think that God wants all believers to be physically healed and that not being healed from some disease is a sign of a lack of faith. A whole mass of Christians now deludedly think that jumping around or laughing hysterically in church is wholesome. A whole mass of Christians now deludedly think that any old personal impressions and rambling delusions masquerading as ‘prophecies’ and ‘words of knowledge’ are to be revered and acted upon. A whole mass of Christians now deludedly think that there is still a privileged class of miracle-workers in the churches. A whole mass of Christians now deludedly think that one is only worshipping God when one is blissed-out with eyes closed and arms waving about in the air while a band is playing. But all these are pagan ideas which have been superimposed on the Bible so that any texts about spiritual gifts which are referenced for these ideas become twisted in such a way that all these counterfeits seem to be justified.
How have we come to this level of lunacy? There are three significant events in recent church history which have especially accelerated this debacle. 1) The Azusa Street episode of 1906-1908. 2) The “Signs and Wonders Movement” which burgeoned in the 1980s). 3) The “Toronto Blessing” affair which began in 1994. Let’s look at these.
The Azusa Street Episode
In the last part of the 19th century and the first part of the 20th century, we had the start of Pentecostalism in the Holiness Movement and especially in the bizarre Azusa Street event of 1906, bringing in its psychic power-games masquerading as “spiritual gifts” and the secondary “Baptismal Fire of the Spirit” which was making them speak gibberish, supposedly as evidence of their spiritual rebirth, which they mistook for some kind of ‘Holy Spirit baptism’ under the ministry of an African American preacher called William J. Seymour. The Holiness Movement of the late nineteenth century gave birth to the Pentecostal Movement through these wacky Azusa Street happenings which emphasised not only the idea of a second blessing or ‘Baptism of/in the Holy Spirit’ subsequent to conversion, but also the evidence of speaking in gibberish ‘tongues’ as proof of it [Such gibberish ‘tongues’ is NOT what was practised in the early church. For copious details about all this and so much more, please read my free-to-download eBook, “Signs, Wonders & Divine Revelation: The Gifts of the Spirit and their Abuses in Today’s Churches”. Just click on the title to go there]. It was all counterfeit nonsense — the outcome of centuries of wayward mystical-occult teaching infecting the visible church — yet it is now regarded as a litmus test of salvation in so many circles today. Is this part of what Paul meant by people abandoning the faith “to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1-2)? I leave you with that chilling consideration.
After the global growth of the Pentecostal movement throughout the twentieth century, there came the time to make these practices more ‘kosher’ on a wider basis. That brings us to how the Charismatic Movement burgeoned in the last part of that century to the present day.
The “Signs and Wonders” Movement (1980s)
In the 1960s, alongside the growth of the hippie scene, there appeared the “Jesus People” (often called “Jesus Freaks”) out of which came a guy called Lonnie Frisbee (who had supposedly been ‘converted’ on an LSD trip). The Jesus People phenomenon was essentially ‘Christianised’ hippiedom, giving birth to the Children of God, with their child abuse and “Flirty Fishing” offering sex to ensnare men in the cult and the subsequent growth of the Charismatic movement through John Wimber’s Signs & Wonders Movement. Wimber had been part of the Jesus People, which had been brought about as a CIA-induced psychological operation (again, all of which I demonstrate in my free-to-download book, “Discerning the Signs of the Times“). In fact, what I will do right now is share here the relevant extract from that book which deals with this in more detail, as we will see how it all dovetails with other relevant factors. So here it is…

Alongside the hippie acid culture of the late 1960s and early 1970s (which was germinated by the CIA, as shown elsewhere in this book), there has been much convincing speculation that the “Jesus Movement” (or “Jesus Freaks”, as they were known) of the late 1960s and early 1970s was also the product of a clandestine CIA mind-control experimentation and thoroughly infiltrated with change agents and “sleepers”. That does not at all surprise me. Having seen its fruits and personally lived through those times, I have believed that for a long time. In support of this, please see the reference at the end of this sentence for details of Daniel Hopsicker’s interview with CIA asset, Pat Matriciana, who admits that the “Jesus Movement” of the 1960s and 1970s was indeed a CIA creation. [See the following link for the transcript of that conversation: https://web.archive.org/web/20020217085728/http://www.madcowprod.com/3rdIssue/PuppetMaster.htm ].
After my decades-long personal investigation into the modern Charismatic Movement and the so-called Signs and Wonders Movement, I am convinced that it was all originally the product of CIA mind-control experiments. The founder of the Signs and Wonders Movement, John Wimber with his Vineyard Fellowships, came directly out of the “Jesus Movement”, which in turn ran parallel to the hippie movement. It was not what one could call holy and clean-living, and it even had women using sexual attraction as bait to seduce people into the movement, in much the same way as the related cult known as the “Children of God”.
Wimber was closely associated with the leading Jesus Movement character, Lonnie Frisbee, who Wikipedia says, “was integral to the development of what would later become Wimber’s ‘Signs and Wonders theology’” ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lonnie_Frisbee ). Frisbee was totally steeped in LSD as a young man and after reading the Bible while on a drug ‘trip’ he got increasingly into Christian stuff. He played a huge part in the CIA-initiated Jesus Movement and came to be regarded as some kind of prophet because of his long hair and hippy attire. But the “Christianity” he spread around was the ‘signs and wonders’ strain, with its phony ‘miracles’ and psychosomatic ‘healings’, which were brought into Wimber’s Vineyard Fellowships and Chuck Smith’s Calvary Chapels…
Every time I have witnessed a Charismatic/Signs & Wonders meeting, I have felt as if I were observing the fruits of a carefully manipulated, subversive mind-control programme designed to undermine the true message of Christ and make people get lost in subjective experiences which have more in common with pagan and satanic religion. In fact, the mind-control programme involving the Charismatic Movement — epitomized ultimately in the kitsch hypnosis show known as the “Toronto Blessing” which began mid-1990s — is ingeniously self-perpetuating. It needs no further ongoing orchestration, for it replicates itself in a continuous programme of brainwashing and mental manipulation! In fact, it is a hideous psychological contagion. In other words, I believe that the Charismatic/Signs and Wonders Movement came about as the natural result of the original psychological operation through the Jesus Movement. Its own philosophy is a vast self-perpetuating Psyop and it is devilish — masquerading as being hyper-Christian but it is a classic example of satanic activity disguised in angel-of-light garb.
As a personal example of the way that minds were being controlled, in the late 1980s, when I invited a leader of a local Anglican church and his wife for a meal, the conversation progressed normally until I referred to my grave concern about John Wimber — the former “Jesus Freak” and instigator of the “Signs and Wonders Movement” working out of Anaheim, California — who was one of the key mentors of our visitors’ church in the UK, which was a top evangelical Church of England church with a very famous minister. At that point, to my amazement, their eyes just fogged over and they went completely blank as if programmed to close down when this subject came up. I remarked on it to my friend across the table. “Look at their eyes”, I said audibly. “They’re gone!”, although they were too blanked out to notice me saying it. It was as if they had shut down by way of some prompt. Only when we changed the subject did they return to normal interaction, as if coming out of a trance. From that point on, I knew that we were dealing with serious mind-control right in the heart of the “Christian” scene.
You may ask, “What could all this have to do with the CIA?” Knowing as I do of the CIA’s experimentation with cults as a form of mind-control (as I have catalogued in detail elsewhere in this book), I have been convinced that all this has been part of a vast deliberate mind-control exercise designed to destroy progressively the true witness of the Ekklesia and its gospel while seducing so many with “pyrotechnics” — extravagant subjective experiences which appear to be spiritual to the untaught. All that was necessary to kickstart it all into action was the CIA infiltrated “Jesus Movement” at the outset. In that sense, it is the progeny of the CIA who set this bandwagon rolling. It is no coincidence that most of the mad movements which have plagued the visible “Church” in the last century seem to have their point of origin in the USA.
From the beginning, the Church has been thoroughly infiltrated by enemy forces whose purpose is to destroy its central message and to take it ‘away with the fairies’ into one distraction after another. They peddle phony teaching; they put sacerdotalism in place of genuine Spirit; they undermine genuine pastors and teachers; they spread lies and slanderous rumours about faithful ministries; some even pose as genuine ministries and set up websites from which they gain a huge following and then publish damning articles to destroy other ministries — especially those which have been most efficiently exposing the works of darkness. All this and more is happening today, and most people calling themselves “Christians” haven’t even got an inkling of a clue about it.
Today, this infiltration is approaching a climax. Surely, it is THIS which explains the original birth of the Charismatic Movement in the 1960s, which merely had to capitalize on certain whacko elements already present to a somewhat lesser degree in Pentecostalism, linking up with the CIA-initiated “Jesus Movement”, in order to bring chaos and bitter contention into the bulk of churches across the world. The Las Vegas show style act known as “Slain in the Spirit”; the highly manipulative (and destructive) so-called “Deliverance” ministries; the “speaking in tongues” autohypnosis delusion, which fatuously claims to be ‘private prayer languages’; the mass hypnosis “Toronto Blessing” ritual, the essentially New Age “Word of Faith, Prosperity Gospel” (“Name it and Claim it”) and the phony “Faith Healing” proponents. All these are classic manifestations of mind-control techniques into the use of which millions upon millions of those calling themselves “Christians” have been sleepwalking daily for decades.
Not only all those influences but a big part of the development of the Charismatic Movement in the last twenty years of the 20th century was the ‘Inner Healing Movement’ initiated by Agnes Sanford who, in turn, had been influenced by the occultist Carl Jung (who is not at all the benign old man that New Age folks think he was, for which see pages 76-91 of my book, “Discerning the Signs of the Times”). As stated in Zondervan’s “Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements”:
“One sector of the Charismatic movement, a sector that could be called ‘The Jungian School’ (Agnes Sanford popularised the approach) takes dreams very seriously and finds in the intricate psychological writings of Carl Jung a theoretical basis (Kelsey, 1964, 1968). Inner Healing was an understandable development that emerged out of that school” (Stanley M. Burgess & Gary B. McGee, “Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements” (Zondervan, 1988), p.808.).
The Charismatic Movement is a patchwork quilt made up of so many disparate influences which all have in common a single foundation: The exaltation of subjective experience over objective truth — an intricate element in the thrust of Gnosticism all the way through the last two thousand years to the neo-Gnosticism of the New Age Movement and the Christianized paganism of the Charismatic Movement. And behind all this for the past fifty-plus years lurks the ever-present influence of the Central Intelligence Agency.
It came as no surprise to me that C. Peter Wagner, who was then Professor of Church Growth at Fuller Theological Seminary and one of the closest associates of the Signs and Wonders movement’s founder John Wimber, was very closely involved with George Otis Jr. in many capacities, about whom it is stated that “one of the goals of his Issachar ministries is to make themselves attractive to recruiters of the CIA and the state department” (“Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare Theology of C. Peter Wagner”, pp.223-224. https://core.ac.uk/download/43166227.pdf ). George Otis’s organisation, Sentinel,
“is also run along very secretive lines which reinforces the suspicion of undercover activities (Otis 2000). In private conversation Otis actually admitted being in the employ of the CIA (Reimer 2008). To what extent Wagner is linked with the CIA is unclear but he would have surely been aware of some of the activities of his close friend and disciple Otis” (“Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare Theology of C. Peter Wagner”, pp.224. https://core.ac.uk/download/43166227.pdf ).
Wagner’s specialty, with which he infused Wimber, was “strategic level spiritual warfare” (SLSW), in which specific demons and their activities are mapped out geographically and then rituals are held allegedly to dislodge them. Only then, it is claimed, when the demon supposedly ruling over a particular area has been defeated, can one hope to successfully save souls in its neighbourhood — a complete travesty of teaching if ever there was one. George Otis Jr. endorses Ellel Ministries, one of the world’s major perpetrators of SLSW and terrible examples of “Deliverance Ministries”, about which I wrote an exposé many years ago — one article in a series of four about “Spiritual Abuse in Churches” (click the link to go there) — which stirred up a real hornets’ nest of viciousness from the spiritual abusers and their allies, who always cloak themselves in respectability and cultivate relationships with influential church people.
[Sidebar: That kind of “viciousness”, along with the nastiness and lies of a number of other so-called “Christian” folks, convinced me around the year 2010 to opt out of having anything more to do with churches for some years. It had a serious impact on my faith at the time and for a number of years I pulled away from anything connected with the Christian scene and my spiritual life was for a while something of a maze. It was only restored when I rebuilt what I know and believe to be real from the ground up, and the result became a book entitled “Narrow Gate ~ Pathway Strait: The Road I Have Chosen” (2017), which you can download for free here. Now I am so used to such widespread lies and vitriol in the Christian scene that they are like water off a duck’s back for me and I can just smile and shake my head at the stupidity of it all. I cannot think of any circumstances in which being nasty to someone is ever necessary. When I discovered in 2004 that a professing “Christian” person had been putting material on the internet claiming that I was a masonic agent preparing the way for the Antichrist (yes, really! 🙄 so many wackos in the “Christian” scene!), I did not get nasty with them but wrote a polite email asking for a conversation on the phone or otherwise to discuss their claims. They did not reply, then used some of the material in my email to calumniate me even more in a follow-up piece. This person is an advocate of the cult of KJV-Onlyism and I had written a very contrary review of a book which supported that idea. Welcome to the modern “Christian” scene, in which if you dare to expose anyone’s real agenda, you will be met with a tsunami of abuse and calumny].
George Otis has also been massively involved with the cultlike “Youth with a Mission” (YWAM), a known CIA-front Christian mission organisation which is “believed to have been involved in CIA behavioural modification research” (Wayne Madsen, “Almost Classified Guide to CIA Front Companies, Proprietaries & Contractors”, pp.410-411. See also this revealing link: http://rockthetruth.blogspot.com/2007/12/clorado-killings-connected-to-cia.html ). Otis’ theology has been shown for the impostor that it is in an in-depth article by Prof. Johan Malan, University of the North, South Africa, entitled “George Otis and his Fallacious Teachings” (See https://www.bibleguidance.co.za/Engarticles/Otisteachings.htm ).
George Otis Jr., the late C. Peter Wagner, and the late John Wimber, et al, have represented a massive movement in the visible ‘Church’ which today is trying “to establish the kingdom of God on earth” — a kind of ‘Dominion Theology’ — using strange techniques alleged to be combatting geographical demons personally along with anachronous apostolic/prophetic notions which are all very far removed from the simplicity which is in Christ by which the early Church cut a swathe through society with the simple presentation of what Christ has achieved on the cross and afterwards. No need to be messing around with geographical demons and all that malarkey. To claim that one first needs to topple a local demon before one can evangelize an area is absolute twaddle and puts the actions of people above the power of the Spirit — as if the Spirit of God is helpless to change souls until these super-exorcists have done their thing. That is a satanic notion if ever there was one.
They are apparently seeking to ‘Christianize’ the world and set up Christ’s kingdom on earth in preparation for the return of Christ — a notion very far removed from what the Bible actually teaches, which is that before the return of Christ can happen there must come the great apostasy and the revealing of the Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12). Ironically, those who teach Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare, along with Wimber’s Signs and Wonders Movement are surely part of that great apostasy themselves! Truly, the visible ‘Church’ across the world has been massively compromised and deceived by spook-originated behavioural programmes initiated decades ago which appear to be effective and dynamic, but it is mere pyrotechnics, a theatre, a massive distraction from the real work of the real Ekklesia. And I have shown elsewhere in this book how the CIA has been involved in satanic, occult activities for decades.
Today, we have a visible ‘Church’ in which the job of subterfuge, infiltration and impostorship has largely been done. I would not be at all surprised if all these various elements of the Charismatic/Signs and Wonders Movements, Dominion Theology, Christian Reconstructionism, and Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare will funnel into the major conduit through which the Antichrist will be sold as Christ to a brainwashed and mind-controlled false church. For, rather than a great tribulation, they are expecting a golden age on earth — a terrible folly. Despite all their claims at waging successful spiritual warfare, they are in fact dupes of the demonic realm and playing right into their hands.
Yes, territorial spirits are real, as shown in the sacred texts (e.g. Book of Daniel, chapter 10, verses 13 & 20.). If God apportioned the boundaries of nations “according to the number of angels” (Book of Deuteronomy, chapter 32, verse 8.), it stands to reason that Satan would do the same with his cohorts of fallen angels (demons), too. But there is no mandate for us to engage with them or to do personal battle with them. For the real demonic stranglehold in this world is over the souls of individual humans, which can only be freed by hearing about the truth concerning Christ and what He came to do on earth in the flesh two-thousand years ago. That is the real gospel.
Just so you understand it, I am not claiming that all the perpetrators and protagonists in this Charismatic ecclesiastical charade are actual agents or assets of intelligence agencies. All that has been necessary is to set the ball in motion at some point earlier in history and the rest is self-perpetuating because of the unclean spirits who control all this on the level of spirit, plus the fact that people are so emotionally and stupidly gullible. When one sticks one’s neck out in this scene concerning what Satan and his minions are up to, one had better be prepared for a vicious backlash, the like of which cannot be anticipated. It will blindside you because most often it will come from those whom you think you can trust and who previously seemed ‘squeaky-clean’. The visible “Church” today has become, in the main, a hotbed of deluded and easily-triggered religious apparatchiks who have little in common with the ethos of the original Ekklesia.
I do not believe that it is a coincidence that during the same time-periods that the world was gradually but pointedly being prepared for the ultimate psychic deception (the revealing of the Antichrist, masquerading as the “World Teacher”, as clearly shown in Alice Bailey’s writings), we find similar powerful forces at work in the visible church, effectively handing vast swathes of it over to Satan and threatening to undermine its power of truth in the pure Gospel.
It is this connection between the powers of darkness operating in parallel in the world and in the church which needs to be understood today if one is to grasp why the Charismatic Movement exists at all. It is an agenda which operates on a very similar ‘frequency’ in those two areas, the world and the visible church. There was the New Thought Movement (giving rise to both the New Age “Law of Attraction” and the Prosperity Gospel in the churches), Theosophy, the Pentecostal Movement, Eastern mystical Western propaganda (including yoga, meditation and Kundalini), the New Age Movement, the Charismatic Movement, Signs and Wonders Movement, Catch the Fire Movement, etc. They all operate in the same ‘energetic’ milieu through the use of powerful hypnotic techniques involving subjective experience and altered states of consciousness, but with very different labels.
__________________________________________
That is what I wrote in my book, “Discerning the Signs of the Times” . But Satan was not yet at all done with his religious experiential philandering. He needed to show that even the greater part of an unwitting evangelicalism could be persuaded to accept lunacy as genuine Christian behaviour. Which leads us neatly on to…
The “Toronto Blessing” Affair
In 1994 came an explosion of all the above influences which unleashed itself with venom into a mass of churches. Known as “The Toronto Blessing” because of it seeming to begin in the Airport Church in Toronto, it involved supposedly spontaneous outbursts of uncontrollable laughter in churches which became known as “Catching the Fire”. That was the catchphrase. And, of course, lots of silly swooning into a heap on the floor at the touch of some manipulative church leader. As I watched all this happening and saw videos of it, I said to myself, “If this is Christianity, I’m a banana!” People are so desperate for “Revival” that they will even accept this nonsense as being indicative of such a thing. Evangelical pastors I knew told me that I should not be so quick to dismiss these phenomena as they could be indicative of “God being at work”. I told them that I had no desire to be a banana. Then, of course, the knives come out. Yawn.
In that year, 1994, thirty years ago, when I was still a naive young pastor who had no idea of the backlash which making such a video would generate, I gave a public talk about this phenomenon, which still astonishingly exists on YouTube at this link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYmSoAWgQ44 , entitled “The Toronto Blessing: A Different Gospel”, where you can see actual examples of it all and an analysis of the real background and agenda. It is a long talk with a number of video examples but it is packed with useful information.
That same year, I produced a leaflet showing the ancient historical occult background of all this Charismatic razzmatazz. Here it is below for your perusal. There is nothing new under the sun. This is all the same mystico-occult codswallop that has existed in the pagan scene for millennia and plagued the church for many centuries. People deciding and practising what is right in their own eyes rather than in the plain meaning of the Word of God.

Some Final Thoughts
It is plain that the various Charismatic ‘Holy Spirit Movements’ in history have been crude manifestations of mystical experience with which any Eastern, ‘Christian’ or New Age Mystic can identify. The display of such phenomena (which was known derisively as “Enthusiasm” in Puritan times) not only has no biblical pedigree, but they have been entirely absent in gatherings of genuine disciples down the ages, having only ever been practised among mystery religions, mystical orders, shamanistic cults, and pagan sects. It was not until the ‘revivalist’ excesses of the so-called ‘Holiness Movement’ in the latter half of the nineteenth century, and the influential and delusional Azusa Street event in 1906, that such phenomena began to seduce professing Christians en masse into their powerful wake. Thereafter, the Signs and Wonders movement of the 1980s and the Toronto Blessing of the 1990s could more easily cut a huge swathe of madness across the churches, allowing that madness to gain respectability.
Honestly, I do not like writing about all this stuff. It makes me feel dirty and sullied and always leads to vituperative communications from some professing “Christians” who have been bent out of shape by what I say. That so many find such filth and madness to be the work of the Holy Spirit can only be explained by knowing the acute level of deception at which Satan and his demons operate. As I sit here writing this in a quaint café surrounded by the idyllic and clean countryside of Cornwall, the contrast with the visible church’s sordidness overwhelms me.
I feel so concerned for any new convert coming into this mess and getting nobbled by the dirt-pedlars which would be so much to their detriment. I just have to remain confident that in the end the Lord’s work cannot be scuppered by any deception, no matter how insidious it is, though it is a real nuisance on the visible church’s radar and to any evangelist’s operations. New Age Spirituality converts are especially vulnerable as some charismatic practices are similar to New Age ones as I showed in my book, “Signs, Wonders and Divine Revelation”. They are also prone to being ravaged by so-called “Deliverance Ministries” on account of their previous involvement in the occult. This is one of the reasons that I have written so extensively about all this and why I am writing the present piece to pull a few things together.
The reason why I have titled this little piece as “The Germane Genealogies of Normalized Church Lunacy” is because the apostle Paul speaks about “myths and endless genealogies” and “foolish controversies, genealogies” about which one should not waste one’s time thinking about (1 Timothy 1:4; Titus 3:9). Well, the genealogies of these wacky pseudo-Christian phenomena are not at all mythical. They are highly germane to Church history and the discernment necessary for finding one’s way through the labyrinth of modern Churchianity.
Well, I hope all this makes sense to you and that you can see the dark provenance of it all. We do not need to major on such matters 24/7, but it is important to be aware of counterfeit movements in the churches. If you have any questions, I am always available on diakrisis-project@outlook.com .
