I apologise for having to bang on about this, but I believe that it is a most important area for exposition because the nature of the Gospel that is being presented to the world is being completely emasculated, castrated, gelded, neutered and spayed by high profile players being beamed into every television in the world.

I refer to the presence of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America and his appointee to head up the White House Faith Office, Paula White. Neither of these people are Christians in any stretch of the imagination, yet they act as if they are and this is how the world receives them. There is no sense of the genuine Gospel of Jesus Christ which emanates from either of them, yet they utter the word “faith” all the time, but it is meaningless.  Thus, this is how your faith and mine is being misrepresented before the whole of humanity by a cultish rewriting of Christian truth; and I object to that deeply.

Paula White — who Donald Trump refers to as “amazing” (as does Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary) — is a proponent of Prosperity Theology which is (to quote Wikipedia) the belief

“that financial blessing and physical well-being are always the will of God for them, and that faith, positive scriptural confession, and giving to charitable and religious causes will increase one’s material wealth. Material and especially financial success is seen as an evidence of divine grace or favor and blessings”.

I tore this notion to shreds in a recent article about “manifesting”. The pseudo-‘Christian’ practice of this false pathway is merely a ‘Christianising’ of ‘New Thought’ philosophy (which became a thing in the nineteenth century) and is essentially a subset of witchcraft and Mesmerism given a respectable western facelift. (I have exposed all this in detail in the upcoming second edition of my book, “The Serpent & the Cross”). Let us also record the fact that women should not be pastors and teachers in the first place, as the Bible clearly shows, and as I have elaborated on elsewhere. However, I can here convey to you the even more disturbing fact that Paula White has been giving credence to the cult known as the “Moonies”. On April 10th, 2025, she gave one of the opening speeches at the World Summit of the Universal Peace Federation, an NGO set up by Rev. Sun Myung Moon in 2005. Moon started the Unification Church (disparagingly known as the “Moonies”) in 1954 on the back of some extraordinary special revelation that Jesus did not complete His messianic mission because he was never married and that Moon himself is the Messiah who can lead the way to establishing the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Both the Unification Church and the Universal Peace Federation are universalist in nature and interfaith, believing that the whole human race is “One Family Under God”. The aim is to bring world peace with the whole of humanity and all the faiths united. I do not need to tell you that all that nonsense is as far removed from what the Bible teaches as it is possible to be! In the world of the “Moonies” and the Universal Peace Federation there is no emphasis whatsoever on the necessary ‘Antithesis’ which in the Bible represents that God-ordained contrast between God’s people and the children of the world (Genesis 3:15; cf. Luke 12:51; John 7:43; 1 John 4:4-6.). When this necessary ‘Antithesis’ is removed, the work of the Church becomes indistinguishable from the progressive humanistic ambitions of the nations and the spiritual aims of the New Gnosticism, as they seek to build a global consciousness — a universal brotherhood fabricated on the pattern of humanity, with the religions and so-called “faiths” of the world as the tapestry on which it is woven.

So when Paula White popped up last month as keynote opening speaker at the inaugural ceremony of the “World Summit” of Moon’s Universal Peace Federation, speaking fulsomely about the organisation, that represents an even worse step off the pathway of truth than Prosperity teaching. One can see where all this would fall in line with Trump’s theonomy. For he believes (insanely!) that he is creating a “Golden Age” (his words), bringing peace and prosperity to America as part of a global stabilisation. Just like the neo-Gnostic “Moonie” notion of “bringing down the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth”. NB: The Moonies, under Sun Myung Moon, also believed in Prosperity Theology. As one AI robot puts it: “Sun Myung Moon, the founder [of the Unification Church] and his wife, Hak Ja Han, were known for their entrepreneurial ventures and wealth accumulation, which were often portrayed as evidence of divine blessings”. MAGA and the Moonies occupy the same tarnished cultic theological and philosophical territory by dint of MAGA’s support for Trump and his cronies.

The Rev. Sun Myung Moon has attracted many ‘conservatives’ to his enterprises (e.g., the Washington Times), just as Donald Trump has attracted many from the same camp because of his campaigning on the basis of opposition to ‘wokeness’. But both the late Moon and Trump have been pulling in these conservatives — many of whom are professing Christians — who are then supporting the interfaith idea of “One Family Under God” and the “bringing down of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth”, which are not at all what the Bible teaches but what neo-Gnosticism preaches.

So when the leader of the White House Faith Office endorses false heretical teaching and false messiahs, this is a serious public misrepresentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are a part of the MAGA cult, is it possible for you to see how you have been inveigled onto a pathway which leads you away from the Gospel by some clever manipulation. You thought that you were dealing a deathblow to ‘wokeness’ (mass immigration and gender ideology) but instead you came under a spell that put you to sleep to the nature of deception and the fullness of truth.
