After watching all the fuss over the King of England’s speech in the US Congress the other day, I feel moved to say a few words about it.
First, one may ask, “Why did Charles go to the USA at all?”, when many had counselled him not to go, citing the fact that doing so would give credence to a man like Trump who is plainly a tyrannical nutjob? For Trump would lap it up being visited by a King when he sees himself as a king too. Apparently, trump was angry when he heard this and insisted that the King must not cancel. So in March, the US ambassador to the UK told a business conference in London that it would be a “very big mistake” for the British government to ditch plans for the King and Queen to travel to Washington DC in April.
That he would not visit would never really be on the cards. In common with all other heads of state or ‘dignitaries’, Charles knows very well what are the preferences and wishes of the power-elite which really runs governments. Donald Trump is the person of choice by that power-elite for president in the USA, or should I say their “chosen patsy”. This must be the case or he would not be there. He suits their purposes on so many levels. The power-elite, while having clear goals for the future, also likes to shake things up by causing chaos. For as a result of that chaos they can then bring in the affairs and events which will appear to provide the stability that the masses are crying out for. It is all part of the dialectic “Thesis – Antithesis – Synthesis” — which is often wrongly attributed to Georg Hegel but was first coined by Johann Fichte in 1794 in his Foundations of the Science of Knowledge — which is the modus operandi of the power elite. A classic example of that would be after the warmongering presidency of G.W. Bush, to assuage the hoi polloi they ushered in the smooth-talking Barack Obama, who seemed like a breath of fresh air but it was really more of the same in a warm blanket as a disguise. Out of all that, the power elite gets what it wants as the synthesis. Like Trump, Obama was virtually regarded as a messiah by his many supporters — a fact that was demonstrated on the website https://obamamessiah.blogspot.com/ , which still exists all these years later as a monument to the madness. It was even believed by many that one could be healed just by touching the hem of Obama’s garments. Yes, Obama had his cult following too. Politics really is cloud-cuckoo land!
Therefore, despite all the objections in the UK, the King and Queen Consort duly arrived in the USA. When he arrived in the hall, there was a two-minute standing ovation. Then there were twelve more standing ovations in what would have been a twenty-minute speech. Honestly, as I watched the whole thing, I found those standing ovations utterly ludicrous. Firstly, when someone is in full-flow in a short speech, it is downright rude to keep interrupting a speaker in mid-sentence just because you have been triggered by some words. Such ovations, if they are to happen at all should be reserved for the end of a speech, especially when it is only a short one. Frankly, I find that such ovations are overly fulsome and nauseatingly sycophantic. In fact, the whole speech was also sycophantic, with Charles using flattering buzz words and phrases which he knows will trigger a wildly enthusiastic response in the audience. On that basis alone, I found the entire event to be totally fake and all based on mutual backslapping.
I am going to take just three quotes from the speech to highlight the emptiness of the whole event. First, there was the brief statement about Christianity, which drew not only a standing ovation at the words “guides us” (led by that gofer weakling of a Speaker in the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson) but also three rounds of applause in the same paragraph — one after the words “interfaith relationships”, one after “as people of different faiths grow in their understanding of each other”, and the other after “we can stem the beating of ploughshares into swords”. Here is the full quote:
“Mr. Speaker, for many here – and for myself – the Christian faith is a firm anchor and daily inspiration that guides us not only personally, but together as members of our community. Having devoted a large part of my life to interfaith relationships and greater understanding, it is that faith in the triumph of light over darkness which I have found confirmed countless times. Through it I am inspired by the profound respect that develops as people of different faiths grow in their understanding of each other. It is why it is my hope – my prayer – that, in these turbulent times, working together and with our international partners, we can stem the beating of ploughshares into swords.”
One needs to understand that the word “Christian” to King Charles has nothing to do with the biblical faith. For him, it means the British way of approaching the notion of “faith” — some kind of weird philosophical ideal concerning “light over darkness”, words which he actually used in that quote — which can involve many other “faiths” too. It is like the Hindu idea that “there are many pathways up the mountain”. Charles has always been an interfaithist. When he was just Prince Charles, he was involved in many interfaith projects. For example, he “launched a major interfaith initiative with a call for all religions to unite in ‘faith in the integrity of life itself’” (https://www.indcatholicnews.com/news/13434 ). He has always favoured the coming together of faiths in dialogue, which is hardly surprising as he was groomed from an early age for some forty years by the late self-styled Jungian mystic, fantasist and paedophile, Laurens van der Post (1906-1996), who was also godfather to Charles’ son, Prince William. (For further information about this weird geezer, see https://www.theguardian.com/world/2001/feb/04/uk.vanessathorpe and this revealing link: https://tinyurl.com/cuvrfa76 ).
However, I was interested to see that the first two of the three rounds of applause during that brief quotation from Charles’ speech in Congress were a reaction to the concept of “interfaithism”. This fits entirely in with the aims of the White House Faith Office under Charismatic dominionist pastor Paula White, which is not specifically about the Christian faith but is actually about all kinds of faith. It is a very weird thing that dominionist “Christians” like Paula White actually also support the promotion of interfaithism which denies the exclusiveness of the faith which Christ came to foster. Do you not find that strange too? It only ceases to be strange when one realises that these people have not been regenerated. They are impostors. So many churches these days are not only stuffed with impostors but most (in the western world at least) are actually being LED by impostors. When the blind lead the blind, they all fall into the ditch, which in this case is the pit of apostasy.
I see a truckload of hypocrisy when I think about all those suits in Congress giving standing ovations about Christianity like robots but yet who are who are perfectly happy with talk about bombing a country back to the stone age and not raising serious objections to that and then applauding those empty words about stemming “the beating of ploughshares into swords”. If there is one thing that the USA has never done it is stemming “the beating of ploughshares into swords”. It actually thrives on weapons production — revels in it. Christians? No way! These people are the ultimate in hypocrites. ὑποκριτής, hupocrites, in ancient Greek meant actor. That is what these people are: Actors, playing their dastardly roles. The word came to take on a figurative meaning of dissembler, phony or shammer, which is precisely what these people are. Moreover, recently when a school was bombed in Iran by three successive Tomahawk missiles, Trump initially tried to blame Iran (see https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ApGRsjKjb2g ). Later, when challenged by a journalist who said that a report now showed it was the USA who did it, Trump claimed he did not know about that, and at no time has he or any of his minions apologised or expressed any remorse (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYtXEgf7n2I ). Details of the report to which that journalist was referring can be found here https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/11/us/politics/iran-school-missile-strike.html and here: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/11/iran-war-missile-strike-elementary-school . In fact, the bombing was a ‘triple tap’ with three successive missiles. As if Iran would launch three missiles at one of its own schools! Three U.S. Tomahawk cruise missiles were fired on a busy school day. Many children were still alive after the first strike. As some tried to flee and entered a prayer room to shelter they were twice targeted again in a further double-tap — this time with teachers and parents too. That must surely have been monitored in the USA. And all those smug people in Charles’ Congress speech applauding the stemming of beating ploughshares into swords. Utterly bizarre! Yes, what a truckload of hypocrisy and self-congratulatory smugness. If I was one of those Congress people, I would have been banging on the White House door demanding a profound apology and deep repentance along with extensive reparations, and I would camp outside until something was done about it (though I am not so naïve that I imagine anything would result from that. It’s just the principle of the thing). Why aren’t they all doing that?
Here’s another excerpt from Charles’ speech which further shows the hypocrisy of the U.S. Congress:
“The U.S. Supreme Court Historical Society has calculated that Magna Carta is cited in at least 160 Supreme Court cases since 1789, not least as the foundation of the principle that executive power is subject to checks and balances.”
After the words “executive power is subject to checks and balances” were said, there was a standing ovation! I am dumbfounded. The last fifteen months have categorically demonstrated that there are no checks and balances on executive power in the USA, which can just run rampant as it wishes. What weird ironic nonsense for all those Congress people to be applauding like mindless penguins flapping their hands together at the idea of executive power being “subject to checks and balances”! There are none in practice — not when there is a Congress so stuffed with cowards and hypocrites.
Charles also said some other words which drew a standing ovation. He described Congress as “this citadel of democracy”. What a joke! The system called democracy is as completely fake as this royal speech in the US Congress. This world is run by a power-elite, the directions of which all governments must follow. Prime Ministers and Presidents (and Kings) are just stooges. Window-dressing. This is NOT conspiracy theory but reality fact, openly available as evidence to be checked and confirmed. In a mainstream book published in 2014 by the Oxford University Press, of which 99.999999% of the human race will most likely be completely unaware, written by a Professor of International Law and former Legal Counsel to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the author shows why nothing of any real importance changes from one US government to the next, regardless of the professed political ideology and intentions of all the parties and presidents involved. This 260-page book is entitled “National Security and Double Government”. Although primarily addressing the situation in the USA, it is plainly applicable to any other nation’s political system.
In its pages, Michael J. Glennon shows that the roles of President, Congress and the courts are an illusion built up by propaganda in the minds of the mass of people. “Presidential control is nominal, congressional oversight is dysfunctional, and judicial review is negligible”. In this book, Prof. Glennon proves that “security” policy has nothing to do with elected leaders and governments but is really made by several hundred prime movers in the military, intelligence, diplomatic and law enforcement agencies — not to mention major corporations — hence, the idea of “double” government in the title, which clearly implies a “shadow” or “secret” unelected government.
Those who have reviewed this book have been entirely convinced of its veracity. Reviewer Jordan Michael Smith, in his “Books of the Year 2014” in The Boston Globe, wrote: “Elected officials end up serving as mere cover for the real decisions made by the bureaucracy”. Another reviewer, Andrew J. Bacevich, Professor of History and International Relations in Boston University, states: “In our faux democracy, those we elect to govern serve largely ornamental purposes, while those who actually wield power, especially in the realm of national security, do so chiefly with an eye toward preserving their status and prerogatives”. Faux democracy! Exactly. Strong words. But if even staid mainstream academics can understand this, why can’t everyone else, without making accusations of “conspiracy theory”?
That whole show in Congress when Charles spoke was exactly that: A show. Neither the King of England nor all those people in Congress have any real power. Far from being subject to official checks and balances within their own government structure, they are subservient to a power-elite which steers everything in its favour from the top down. That is why nothing really changes for the better. Why anyone should have any trust whatsoever in “the system” and engage themselves in the farcical voting process is entirely beyond me.
So that jamboree in Congress was all just a show — all designed to boost Chump’s ego and nothing more. This is borne out by the fact that the following day, the White House put an image on Twitter (now even more stupidly known as “X”) which showed King Charles with Trump and above the image were the words “TWO KINGS” (see attached image where I have highlighted those words, top left) and a crown emoji next to that. That was predictable and I had been waiting for it. There is much more that is predictable too. But I will not bore you with that here. I’ve said it all before anyway. We are watching a satanic clown-show that will one day in the not-too-distant future be seen for what it is: A horror-movie being acted out in real-time. Watch this space…
