Sometimes the cards that life to you doled out
are what God has intended so you grow.
That ‘trauma wound’ you use so you can flout
your bad comportment is a placebo.

If you can see no growth then something’s stuck.
If you don’t feel the need to change, why not?
How come that need has not up to you snuck?
Always dissatisfied with what you got.

It’s not enough to say, “I’m born again!”
if there’s then no improvement in one’s ways.
For spiritual growth means one’s more sane,
unless one’s simply latched onto a craze.

So first one sees the truth, then ‘does the work’,
and thus one then becomes less of a jerk!
