I see that there is still a small handful left of the paperback edition of the book if anyone still wants to buy one. Some folks prefer to have something physical to read rather than just an electronic book on a device. Anyway, I hope that you find this eBook immensely helpful. It is voluminous and filled with masses of research over many years, much of it carried out for the First Edition by hand from physical books in the Bodleian Library in Oxford in the early 1990s before there was any internet to speak of. Everything was brought up to date for the Second Edition of 2025.
The downloaded PDF is interactive and all the bookmarks/links/URLs/references can be clicked.
